Station Cooks

At Hotel Barriere Fouquet, our restaurant is searching for a creative and motivated line cooks to join our talented kitchen team. In this position, you will support the Executive and Sous Chef in our kitchen, following and enforcing their requirements and guidelines. Our ideal candidates are professional, and willing to participate in creating delicious seasonal menus and meal designs for our guests.

The Line Cook will support the Head Chef, Sous Chef and Pastry Chef in all kitchen preparations.

Responsibilities:

  • Optimal and timely delivery of preparation with a strong attention to details.
  • Takes care of cleaning and cutting vegetables, preparing eggs or preparing sauces.
  • Supports the Chef team in the daily preparation and maintenance of the kitchen, in a timely and accurate manner, giving extra operational support when requested.
  • Takes care of the conservation of the kitchen product.
  • Ability to clean and maintain work environment.

The ideal candidate would have:

  • At least one year of experience in the hospitality industry within the Kitchen area.
  • Ability to speak fluent English.
  • Professional appearance and curate self-grooming.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Team-working skills.
  • Standard knowledge of the main kitchen operating procedures.
  • Knowledge of current basic regulations and of the main safety standards.
  • Using kitchen machinery & food preservation techniques.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which included, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Certification of Food Handlers License.
  • Be able to show proof of vaccination

Chef de Partie

Barriere Fouquet, our restaurant is searching for a creative and motivated Chef de Partie to join our talented kitchen team. In this position, you will follow the Head Chef’s instructions when carrying out culinary activities in compliance with Group standards.

Our ideal candidates are professional, and willing to participate in creating delicious seasonal menus and meal designs for our guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain standards of health, safety, and personal hygiene.
  • Control and take responsibility of their section.
  • Ensure that all food for service are ready on time.
  • Able to properly cook all items,: meat, fish, stock, jus, vegetable, etc.
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Must be able to communicate properly with other kitchen sections and superiors.
  • Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions.
  • Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions.
  • Able to drive other members as Commis, Junior Chef de Partie to maintain quality and cooking standards.

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, tools, and processes.
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure. Great time management.
  • Physical ability to stand for an entire shift and lift at least 50lbs.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which included, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Certification of Food Handlers License, preferred
  • Be able to show proof of vaccination
